Milton Berry Scott
California Estate Planning & California Probate

I am an estate planning attorney who has been practicing in Contra Costa County, California since 1972. My practice is limited to trusts, probate, complex and multinational estate planning, and trust administration after the death of a trustor or the trustors. I am certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California as a specialist in probate, estate planning, and trust law. I have taught courses in estate planning in several local adult education programs, and I was an instructor in the paralegal program at St. Mary’s College for sixteen years. I am also a member of the Law Society of London, England and am licensed to practice law in England and Wales. I am the author of three estate planning books and numerous articles. Listed below are a number of useful estate planning articles which I have written and updated.

Trusts, probate, estate taxes, and estate planning are topics which many people are interested in. You're welcome to read and download my discussion of these. This material is for information purposes only, and relates only to people who are residents of California. The writer and publisher assume no legal responsibility for any use or misuse of this information. Anyone doing estate planning should consult an attorney.

Note: I regret that I am unable to respond to any questions or inquiries by phone, fax, letter, or email from individuals who are not existing clients. You may wish to purchase one of my books to obtain information and possible answers to your questions. Please click here to visit Père Bruin Press.
