MILTON BERRY SCOTT

LEGAL REPRESENTATION

I am an estate planning attorney who has been practicing in Northern California since 1972. Prior to becoming an attorney I was a trust officer at two major California banks for 11 years. I have been certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California as a specialist in probate, estate planning and trust law since 1990. I have taught estate planning course at several adult education programs for 11 years and taught estate planning, trust, probate, advanced probate, and taxation courses for St. Mary's College of California for 17 years.

I am also licensed as a solicitor in England and Wales (regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority) and am a member of the Law Society of London, doing estate planning for persons who either are residents and citizens or own assets in both the United Kingdom and California.

My practice is limited to estate planning, probate, trusts, and probate and trust administration, including complex trusts and estates, and multinational estate planning.

I do not represent clients in guardianship or conservatorship matters, litigation or pending litigation of any type, nor do I draft estate, gift or fiduciary tax returns, although I review and advise clients in connect with the filing of these returns.

I only represent clients who are residents of California or who have assets in California such as probate or trust matters or California real property. I require potential clients to meet with me personally before agreeing to represent them. I also require clients to sign a legal representation agreement when I represent them.

If you are interested in my representing you, or if you are a professional seeking representation for a client of yours, please email me, using the box below, and advise me of the nature of your estate planning concerns and what you are interested in my doing for you.

I charge legal fees based on an hourly basis, currently at $330 per hour.
